Although Live Donor Liver Transplantation is being turned to as a life saving alternative more often every year, every procedure still makes headlines. Of course, interest is even greater when a public personality is involved. Such was the case when Massachusetts State Senator Stephen F. Lynch donated more than half of his liver in an effort to save the life of his brother-in-law. However, every LDLT hero deserves public recognition for their bravery and sacrifice, and more often than not, they do get it.
