LDLT(Live Donor Liver Transplantation) is a surgical innovation that has been developed to deal with the problem of severe organ shortages. Thalia House was founded in 1999 by surgeons who helped pioneer this procedure in the United States.
We are a nonprofit organization, providing short-term residential housing, financial support, education, social services and counseling to LDLT patients and donors, as well as their families.
In addition to addressing the immediate needs of patient and family, Thalia House was established to aid patients and their families who are going through the ordeal of liver transplantation.

Greek mythology provided us with three graces to personify joy, good will and good health. Thalia, whose name means flourishing, is one of the three graces. Her realm of responsibility was the good cheer and good health of human kind. Thalia House hopes to provide these gifts of life to thousands of liver patients over the years ahead.
